Congratulations to everyone who ran on Saturday. It was an awesome day on the mountain. How about the huge rattlesnake at the last switchback?!!! This was our largest turnout to date and we hope to keep the event growing. I think most will agree that for a 10K, its well worth the drive. I would like to thank all the volunteers at the aid station on top of McCloskey and the helpers who prepared the food. We look forward to seeing everyone next year!!!
What: A 10K run through the mountains of Sproul State Forest. It's 3 miles of uphill to the top of McCloskey moutain, and then a blistering 3.7 miles down to the finish. It's truly one of the most challenging 10K's around.
Where: The WCSA in Hyner, PA. The club is also the host of the Hyner View Trail Challenge. The trails being used are part of the Sproul State Forest system. The trail includes vistas, stream crossings, and technical single track.
When: Saturday, July 21st at the WCSA. Race starts at 10am sharp. Registration opens at 8:30am and closes at 9:45am. We offer race day registration but shirts are limited. $25 registration fee.
How: Runners can send in their registration form to PA Trail Dogs 1200 Houserville Rd State College PA 16801 BEFORE July 18th or register at the race. T-shirt is guaranteed to anyone registered before July 10th. No Refunds.
